Aloha and thank you for visiting the People’s Wine Shop.
At The People’s Wine Shop, we believe that every wine region has something special to offer, and are constantly searching to find the best representation and value from each of the unique wine making areas of the world. We also carry a wide variety of imported and micro-brew beers, as well as a great selection of sake.
At The People’s Wine Shop we want you to experiment without having to break the bank. Many of the wines we carry in our store are priced at $20 or less, and we will be pouring something almost daily to taste. We do have the “good stuff” as well, so don’t worry, we’re not here to deprive anyone.
We appreciate the confusion and the “analysis paralysis” that sets in when you walk into a wine shop. That just makes our job easier and more, as we want to talk story and shuck-and-jive with you to understand your taste and preferences. It’s our duty to help you find that wine that you were destined to meet…. so stop thinkin’ and let’s get drinkin’!
Our Wine Buying Philosophy
Like my philosophy on eating, my philosophy on drinking is the same. It’s only fermented grape juice, so drink what you enjoy! With wine, I happen to enjoy a little bit of everything. Hey, you can’t go into the retail side of this business and enjoy only a few styles of wines. While we do have a little bit of everything, in staying true to my wine drinking philosophy, we have broad and growing selection of Italian and Spanish wines. Why? It’s what I like to drink. Our Wine Shop
When we designed our store, our intent was to make people feel at ease and comfortable. We weren’t sure what that entailed from the design standpoint so we started with the idea that we at the very least wanted to create an environment that we’d be happy coming to every day. It all started with choosing warm colors of paint to dress the walls. Next, we lifted the “drop” ceiling panels and painted the ceiling black to create airiness and a sense of endless space. Unknowingly, but thankfully we ordered racks made of cedar, whose woodsy aromas greet your senses like a true Cabernet from the Napa Valley. As for the music that fills the store, you’ll hear anything from Led Zeppelin to the Beatles or Pink Martini to Gwen Stefani. And finally there’s the touch; the vibe; the feeling; that je ne sai quoi that emanates from the store. You don’t know what you’re feeling, but it just feels right. Directions to Our Shop...
